Dive time in Chumphon

Chumphon, 463 kilometres south of Bangkok , offers calm sea and clear visibility making it an interesting proposition for snorkellers and divers wishing to explore the underwater world.

Bestowed with unspoiled marine life, the sea off Chumphon offers visitors great excitement even at shallow depths, like the sight of sea anemones fluttering their tentacles.

For scuba divers, there are islands of Ko Ngam Noi and Ko Ngam Yai, and Hin Phae and Hin Lak Ngam. Apart from the hard staghorn and colourful soft corals, there is a rich diversity of fish species, including snappers and groupers. Other places of interest are Ko Ranped Rankai, Chumphon Rock, Tung Koo Rock and Hin Bai.

Liveaboard Cabana MV 1 is offering diving packages during October 1-2, 7-9, and 14-16. The one-night October 1-2 package includes seven dives at Ko Ranped Rankai, Chumphon Pinnacle and Chumphon Marine National Park , while the two-night package allows 11 dives at above mentioned spots plus Angthong National Park and Ko Tao island.
