SILA EVASON HIDEAWAY RESORT & SPA
Managed by Six Senses Resorts & Spas, it comprises 66 villas surrounded by tropical gardens on a gently sloping headland on the northern tip of Ko Samui. Bamboo is the main component that distinguish the resort's character from others on the island and lemongrass dominates the compound.
The smallest unit is the 130-square-metre Hideaway Villa, followed by the bigger - 160-square-metre - Pool Villa, and the 300 square metres Pool Villa Suite. All villas are split-level and have an open-style bathroom.
"Dining on the Hill" serves meals all day and offers excellent view to the north of the island. "Drinks on the Hills" and "On the Rocks" are custom-designed bars, while "Wines on the Hill" is a specially-designed cellar where wine tasting is a regular feature.
Other services include the Hideaway Spa, two dry saunas, and steam rooms. The focus is on holistic wellness and therapeutic treatment. Also available are fitness gym, water sports, DVD library, and a Six Senses gift shop. The resort recently made it to the 2005 "Hot List", a Conde Nast Traveler survey.
